My Values & Approach.

  • Holistic.

I approach coaching from a holistic lens, meaning, I work with you as a whole person: mind, body, and spirit. We may integrate mindfulness exercises, holistic healing modalities, and self & community care plans to support you in your coaching journey.

  • Trauma-Informed.

A trauma-informed lens is critical to my work and our interactions. This means I’m mindful of the ways systemic oppression, racial trauma, unhealthy workplace cultures, and intergenerational trauma impact how we show up in our everyday lives and within our workplaces. I promise to stand beside you as a partner in your work, recognizing that you are the expert of your life and your experience.

  • Equity-Focused.

I integrate an equity & racial justice lens into our work. I actively interrogate and dissect the impact of White Supremacy Culture, toxic workplace cultures, Non-profit Industrial Complex, and other systemic influences, such as racism/sexism/ableism. that show up in our individual and work lives.

I work with…

  • First-Generation Graduates & Immigrants.

  • Women of Color.

  • Nonprofit Professionals.

  • Educators.

  • Advocates & Activists.

  • Creatives & Healing Arts Professionals.

  • Mission-Focused Organizations

“I honestly do not think the English language possesses the capacity to fully express just how incredible Yoo-Jin Kang is when it comes to career coaching! When I transitioned between jobs, I was leaving an organization where I'd been for over 15 years. I literally had never negotiated an offer, a start date, or even knew what vocabulary is used in the hiring/negotiation processes. Yoo-Jin patiently and enthusiastically taught me how to be my own advocate, coaching me on how to ask for what I deserved with empathy and grace. I not only got an amazing first offer, but then successfully negotiated a second offer that was $5k more!”
